The Association
BPFFA Local 536 has represented the professional firefighters of Brockville, Ontario through many decades of change, in the city, in the fire service, and in the labour movement. The association's history is woven into the history of Brockville itself.
Brockville Fire Department Milestones
The Brockville Fire Department has grown from its earliest volunteer roots into the professional, full-time department it is today. Local 536 emerged as professional firefighters organized to protect their rights, their health, and the standard of service they provide to Brockville's 21,000+ residents.
Affiliation History
Local 536 is affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) and the Ontario Professional Fire Fighters Association (OPFFA). Both affiliations connect our members to a broader network of firefighting professionals and decades of collective advocacy.
Fallen Firefighters
